Out of the 22 applications MassCEC has received to date, 13 have been for existing buildings and 9 have been for new construction or gut rehabs. The existing buildings tend to have a higher heat load per square foot.

The heat pump on the left is mounted on a metal stand on a concrete pad. The heat pump on the right is wall-mounted on brackets. Both solutions are good strategies to ensure the outdoor unit does not get buried in the snow.
