MassCEC’s Residential- and Small-Scale Solar Hot Water program provided rebates for the installation of solar hot water (SHW) systems at homes across Massachusetts. This program is part of MassCEC’s suite of Clean Heating and Cooling programs, which support technologies that provide customer cost savings and environmental benefits while maintaining a high level of comfort and reliability. Due to funding constrants, MassCEC is no longer accpeting applications for Solar Hot Water projects.

Installers should visit the Installer Resources page.

Once your project has received an award letter from MassCEC, your installer can install your solar hot water system. Once the system is installed, you can submit your project completion documents and MassCEC will send out the rebate check. Installers typically submit completion documents on the homeowner's behalf. With each project completion, MassCEC asks for:

  • Project Completion Form
  • Photos of the installed system
  • Copy of the final paid invoice
  • Electric Bill (if new construction)
