We are looking for a recent college graduate who is passionate about MATLAB, to work on challenging projects involving system analysis and design. As part of the Ultrasound R&D and Systems Engineering group you will work on models that describe complex ultrasound systems to support our model-based systems engineering activities.
This role requires the candidate to be proficient in MATLAB, being able to learn new skills quickly and become familiar with a broad set of technical domains including ultrasound propagation and signal and image processing. In addition, a successful candidate for this role will have strong collaboration and communication skills as well as an ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
Located in Salem, MA Titan Advanced Energy Solutions develops industry-leading, ultrasound-based battery diagnostics systems for applications in the 2nd life market for re-purposing used EV batteries as well as battery management systems for electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and stationary storage. At Titan you'll be part of a fast-paced company that cares about the employees, values your ideas and contributions, and provides opportunities to explore and learn.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Work with ultrasound and systems engineers to develop performance prediction models to support requirements, design, analysis, and test of Titan systems.
  • Contribute to system level design and test plans by developing algorithms that simulate the behavior of the system and analyze system performance data.
  • Develop requirements by trading off design parameters and evaluate and analyze system-level performance.
  • Communicate across disciplines while interacting with other teams to understand shared objectives and priorities.
  • Understand company strategy and anticipate future needs.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink
  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfort and experience with learning new technologies.

Preferred skills:

  • Passion for clean energy, a systems-thinking perspective, and a desire to take an active part in shaping a new paradigm
  • Experience modeling problems on vibrations and acoustics
  • Full lifecycle product development experience (from concept through production and support)
