MassCEC acts as a connector between established and startup clean energy companies, investors, strategic corporate partners and large energy users in Massachusetts.

MassCEC supports local incubators, business accelerator competitions and other resources, job training, networking events and provides seed investments for technology companies.

Investments - Apply

Step 1: Contact the MassCEC Investments Team to set up an initial meeting. Please provide a pitch deck with your initial outreach.

Step 2: Pitch to the MassCEC investments team.

Step 3: If your company may be a fit for a MassCEC investment, staff will request and internally review due diligence materials as part of an iterative process. 

Step 4: Pending a positive diligence outcome, pitch to MassCEC's CEO and other executive-level staff.

Investments - Who's Eligible

Only Massachusetts-based applicants that fit the MassCEC definition of “clean energy” (defined in the MassCEC enabling legislation here) are eligible. Typically, we require at least three of  a company’s headquarters, manufacturing, sales and research and development be based in Massachusetts.

Richi Social Entrepreneurs Immersion Summer 2016

The Immersion Summer 2016 is a one-month eye-opening experience in Boston where 32 Social Entrepreneurs, representing 15 international startups, have had the opportunity to explore Boston's advanced Social Innovation ecosystems. During this month, each startup has worked on preparing their social value proposition and problem-solution fit to enter the US market. 

On July 27th we will run our final event at WeWork to say goodbye to the first edition of the Richi Social Entrepreneurs Immersion Program. It will include a short pitch by the startups, and then networking time with food and drinks. Piranha Pond Pitch Party Practice Night

Startups apply to get one of 8 slots to pitch in front of a panel of qualified investors. Those who get selected to pitch will have the chance to practice ahead of time and to get feedback on July 11. Then, on July 14, Investors listen to the five minute pitches and vote on whether they'll grant a  follow on meeting.
