Residential

MassCEC provides rebates and other incentives to residents who are looking to adopt clean energy at their own homes.

Residential incentives offered by MassCEC include rebate programs for solar electricity and solar hot water, vouchers for the replacement wood-burning heating units and assistance with other technologies.

Solarize-HeatSmart Toolkit

In order to support communities across Massachusetts in conducting community clean energy initiatives, MassCEC has created the Solarize and HeatSmart Tool Kit. Our goal is to provide communities that are interested in running a Solarize or HeatSmart-styled campaign with resources and valuable information necessary to create their own clean energy adoption programs, to help harness the existing energy and motivations around tranistioning to clean energy solutions.

MassCEC10 - Mass Solar Loan has enabled the installation of over 5,000 solar electric systems

Over the past ten years, MassCEC has supported solar photovoltaic (PV) installation through a variety of deployment programs, including the Mass Solar Loan program, launched in late 2015 as an effort to expand customer access to solar. We are excited to announce that over 5,000 Mass Solar Loan solar electric systems have been installed in just four short years! Over 2,600 of those systems were installed at the residences of low to moderate income customers.

Lessons from the Field: Month Nine of the Whole-Home ASHP Pilot

MassCEC’s whole-home air-source heat pump pilot program has been running for about nine months now. We currently have 41 approved projects, with 23 existing building retrofits and 18 new construction or gut rehab projects. We have funding for up to about 150 projects before the pilot ends in June (which is getting close!), so if you’re a homeowner reading this blog and you want to install a whole-home heat pump system, the time to act is now!

Homeowners interested in ReVision’s ‘whole home approach’ are leaving the fossil fuels behind and instead pairing other innovative technology with their solar electric array. The solar array generates electricity instead of pulling power from the grid and feeds the other appliances to have a fully electric household.

At the Goodspeed’s House Tour, you’ll hear all about how driving on sunshine benefits these homeowners with their new Tesla Model 3. We’ll also talk about the latest heating and cooling options with solar power. And how you can storage your clean solar power in a battery for when the grid goes down.

6pm Cocktails on the Patio
6:30pm Tour of the Solar
Free but please RSVP - address will be given out a few days before the event!

The Goodspeed’s are proud to support Family Promise with this event! For every person who attends, ReVision will donate to Family Promise North Shore Boston. Come to learn how this non-profit is helping to stop homelessness in the North Shore. And sign up to be apart of their Cardboard Box City Fundraiser happening August 3rd in Beverly.

Batteries are the perfect complement to the solar-powered home of the future — not only can you enjoy huge savings and environmental benefits by going solar, but you can add reliable, nearly-silent backup power that benefits everyone when you add batteries. Massachusetts is introducing a new program that will make a 21st-century battery storage solution available nearly for free. This is because the cost of creating incentives for batteries is paid for by savings all ratepayers will get when batteries are used to reduced load on the electric grid.

ReVision Energy, as your local, full service solar + battery partner, is here to help inform you about how the new program works and how to get situated with a battery system. Local expertise on advanced energy options For this exclusive battery + solar event, we’re teaming up with Pika Energy, an advanced electronics company based out of Maine, who offer an inverter + battery electronics option that is a perfect fit for the new Massachusetts incentive program. Pika Energy and ReVision Energy experts will be on-hand to talk about how batteries fit into the whole-house clean energy transition, as well as answering any questions you may have about the exciting world of solar + battery power.

This event will be available both in-person, and streamed online via Facebook! Register now and indicate whether you intend to enjoy the event in person (we’ll have snacks!) or enjoy it from the comfort of your home computer or mobile device.
