MassCEC provides rebates and other incentives to residents who are looking to adopt clean energy at their own homes.

Residential incentives offered by MassCEC include rebate programs for solar electricity and solar hot water, vouchers for the replacement wood-burning heating units and assistance with other technologies.

Mass Solar Connect

Mass Solar Connect increases the adoption of small-scale solar electricity systems for members of participating Massachusetts-based non-profit groups through an outreach and education campaign coupled with competitive pricing.

Solar Hot Water

MassCEC’s Residential- and Small-Scale Solar Hot Water program provided rebates for the installation of solar hot water (SHW) systems at homes across Massachusetts. This program is part of MassCEC’s suite of Clean Heating and Cooling programs, which support technologies that provide customer cost savings and environmental benefits while maintaining a high level of comfort and reliability. Due to funding constrants, MassCEC is no longer accpeting applications for Solar Hot Water projects. 

Ground-Source Heat Pumps

MassCEC offered rebates to homeowners who installed qualifying ground-source heat pumps (GSHP), which provide highly efficient electrical heating, cooling, and hot water. This program is part of MassCEC’s Clean Heating and Cooling program, which supports technologies that provide customer cost-savings and environmental benefits while maintaining a high level of comfort and reliability. Due to funding constraints, MassCEC is no longer accepting applications for the Residential Ground-Source Heat Pump projects. 

Air Source Heat Pumps

MassCEC's Whole-Home Air-Source Heat Pump Pilot is no longer accepting new applications. MassCEC offered rebates to new construction homes and existing homes that are served by natural gas. More information about the pilot is below. This page has information on how to submit project completion documents for grantees.

Are you confused about how to install solar in your home? You're not alone and Sustainable Westford can help.

Sustainable Westford has organized a a group of solar contractors and home owners who have already made the move towards solar to help answer questions for those who are new to the process. The Mass Clean Energy Center will also be in attendance. 

The event will take place on Wednesday, May 4 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. at the JV Fletcher Library (upstairs in the Mary Atwood Room), 50 Main St. It is free and open to the general public.
