Join YPE and volunteer with the Esplanade Association on Boston’s Charles River Esplanade on Saturday, October 6th from 9am to 12pm. Specific tasks of the volunteer event will be determined in September, but could include painting benches, greening, picking up the pathways, raking leaves, among other activities to ensure that we keep the Esplanade beautiful.

In an effort to further YPE’s impact on our community, please consider making a donation to the Esplanade Association’s volunteer program here.The program is run solely on donations from volunteer groups and individual volunteers. Donations go towards replacing and restoring broken tools, buying new volunteer materials such as paint, tarps, trash picks, and garden shears, and helping our staff continue to run the Volunteer Program. This EBC program is the first in an annual EBC program series of five meetings with the leadership teams of the four regional offices and the headquarters of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP). These programs provide EBC members, municipal officials, and other attendees from throughout Massachusetts the opportunity to hear first from Commissioner Suuberg of the DEP and then from the leadership of each of the four DEP regional offices and the headquarters team. This first meeting will feature the leadership of the Central Region and focus on the important issues and priorities of Central Massachusetts.

Following the speaker presentations will be a panel discussion moderated by Bob Cox of Bowditch & Dewey, LLP.
