Worcester Polytechnic Institute Professor Yan Wang and the United States Advanced Battery Consortium have developed an innovative method of recycling lithium ion batteries. This project received funding from the Department of Energy and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s Academic Collaboration program provided cost share. As a result of this project Battery Resourcers LLC has been formed with the goal of commercializing this research. Battery Resourcers LLC are also recent awardees of MassCEC’s Leveraging Funding Opportunities program.
